Hole #3 PAR 4 Yardage: Blue
357 - White 342 - Red 259 - Green 259 Handicap: Men 13 Women 11 Wind:
From Rear Green Hold: Fair DRIVE -The rule of thumb is What
you hit on #2 to be short of the pond, you hit on #3 so you do not go through
the fairway.. A perfect drive is just left of the line of small trees and
the waste bunker. Right is big trouble. There is room left but watch for a
fairway pot bunker in the left rough. APPROACH - A low iron, lobed
high is the approach from most fairway positions. Trees surrounding the fairway
block the wind at ground level, but once the ball is in the air there will be
an effect on the shot. Most shots bounced to the green end up rolling over the
back. You must play a good shot to the front - right side if you want to hold
the green. There is room behind the green if you are long, but it is a tough
pitch. GREEN - The green is small and slopes right to left. All
approach shots will feed to the left rear of the green. You can expect big
swings from most putts. Depending on pin position, be happy with a two putt and
go to #4. |
