Welcome to the 2008,
Junior Program
I'd like to extend a warm welcome to all juniors who
will be joining us for another season here at Hartlen Point Forces Golf Club.
We will again be offering a series of teaching clinics in July and August for
those interested in learning the basic skills of play as well as the rules and
etiquette of this great game called golf. This is a very popular part of the
program and is always well attended so be sure to watch the schedule closely
and sign up early in the proshop! The clinics which are held on Tuesdays
from 2:00pm -3:30pm are followed by your choice of, 9 or 18 holes of golf at no
cost.
The first event of the season is our Introductory Meeting
at the clubhouse at 1:00pm on the 18th of May prior to our teeing off for the
Opening Scramble (2:30pm). All parents and juniors are encouraged to attend. Be
sure to sign up in the Pro Shop if you are going to play in the Scramble (9
holes).
In all the years I've been involved with the Junior Program,
the single most important thing I learned is that the program can not exist
without the very generous help of volunteers. We're hoping to find people
interested in helping out with a variety of tasks such as; tournament
organizing, fundraising (closest to pin), help with the clinics, etc. etc.
Also, any suggestions you may have to help us make the program better would be
much appreciated. If you have any items you would like to have put into the
agenda for the Introductory Meeting, or think you may be interested in helping

1. Men's
night is open to all Regular, Ordinary and Associate Male members. Cost is
$12.00 ($7.00 for meal and $5.00 for rang game). You must pay for both. You
cannot pay for only one.
2. Members are reminded that this is for 9
holes only and if they wish to play the other nine they must get card stamped
or pay for 9 hole twilight.
3. If any tournament dates change and the
3-club night would fall on night before the tournament then will change 3-club
night.
4. No member's night game may commence more then 1 hour prior
to posted start time.
5. SCORING IS STAPLEFORD SCORING:
